As one of the vision industry’s leading integrators, Indicon has the expertise to tackle virtually any application.  Today’s industrial vision systems gauge, guide, inspect, and identify products on some of the world’s fastest automation lines. Indicon works directly with suppliers of leading edge technology to bring those applications to life around the globe.

Our innovative vision experts can demonstrate our capabilities using your exact parts.  Indicon’s comprehensive lab includes a variety of the most up to date vision and marking systems so you can review a real mark put on a real part instead of merely reading about how capable a system might be!

Indicon is a certified vision integrator for:

FEATURE DETECTION

Visual inspection of parts can be one of the most tedious tasks in a production environment.  Within a short period of time, the human eye begins to exhibit signs of fatigue that quickly turn into a diminished inspection capability.  Using intelligent vision sensors to inspect a part for the presence or absence of certain features like the one illustrated here, is a great application for vision.  Vision systems never fatigue and produce fast, consistent, and cost effective results over the life of that system.

PART INSPECTION

The picture on the right is a great example of a component submitted for a typical vision application.  In this case, vision technology is utilized to inspect over 30 unique aspects of the part.  Each component is inspected to ensure that all of the drilled holes and machined slots are present.  Additionally, all of the surfaces are checked for proper machining.

2D-DATAMATRIX

Traceability has become a driving force in the manufacturing world.  Vision systems are at the heart of nearly all traceability programs.  This image is an example of a machine vision sensor being used to read a
2-D Datamatrix code laser marked on an engine component.  We can demonstrate how this process can work on Indicon’s lab is prepared to mark you own component.

OCR (Optical Character Recognition)

Machine vision was born to read 1-D and 2-D barcodes and data matrices.  Unfortunately, the human eye is not capable of digesting and comprehending that sort of information.  Indicon can solve that dilemma with our unique approach to analyzing “Human Readable” text.  The photo on the right is a fuel injector marked with both a human readable code, as well as a 2-D Datamatrix code.

The talented engineers at Indicon have successfully brought vision systems on-line throughout North America.  Here are a few of the locations and projects we have completed recently:
