Indicon has been called on to utilize our Traceability expertise to support the International Truck Engine Plant in Indianapolis, Indiana.  We have been tapped to install laser marking and vision systems as part of the machining and assembly process.  These efforts will assist International Truck in more precisely tracking all major components through the entire engine building process.  The enhanced tracking capability will allow the plant to improve quality and reduce potential recalls without slowing the overall rate of production.

Indicon Announced as ABB Single-Source Supplier

Indicon and ABB have signed a Supply Agreement that designates Indicon as the single-source provider of all of ABB-USA’s electrical control panels.  This unprecedented Agreement calls for Indicon to operate a Satellite Manufacturing Facility inside ABB’s Auburn Hills Headquarters, from which we will provide panels for ABB’s Paint, Powertrain, and Robotic Automation Groups.  Indicon will assume complete responsibility over ABB’s current panel shop and all personnel will be employed by and managed by Indicon.  Mike Riley of Indicon will head up the efforts for this program, including all estimating, coordination and implementation.

Conservative estimates forecast the additional workload at over $3,000,000 annually, adding 10-15 new jobs within Indicon.  It is anticipated that this extended relationship will lead to additional opportunities in tooling engineering, machine tool wiring, cable assembly, electrical field installation, and general contracting.

The ability to land this deal is a credit to the efforts of all Indicon employees.  After completing several small yet successful projects and following an exhaustive review of Indicon’s operations, financials, quality procedures and our position in the market, ABB recognized Indicon’s industry-leading advantages.  Indicon's efficiencies and workmanship will help support ABB’s directive:  Together, we will produce innovative technologies of the highest standards – and do so at a competitive cost.
